Althea*****
I started streaming this song because im on a "so many roads" bender..However i haven't gotten to it yet. This Althea JAMSSSSSSSSSSSS..I love it when people say the GD ended in 82' or whatever. Obviously they are partial because that's when they discovered them and were around to see them. But I find shows like this one to flow at all levels and incorporate an advanced sort of connection of sound....whatever i love it all! also i got the t-shirt from this tour. skeleton playing the banjo with foliage trees in the background. so sick

Pulling a rabbit from a hat
Going to have to STRONGLY disagree about So Many Roads. For me, that's just about the best. Jerry is trying so hard....his voice cracks (just a little) during a "to ease my soul." Sweet and heartbreaking, all at once.

I dont really get the SMR hype
There are probably a dozen way better versions of So Many Roads out there. This isnt even the best one of the year. However, I do like the "Heal my soul" part.
The Althea on this one is really nice

..."to HEAL my soul!"
I spent this evening,"wandering dowtown, with nowhere to go,but just to hang around."I wish now I made more of an effort to score a tix. With Jerry singing with the soul and heart, that he always had,but like at like no other previous night that Fall. The,"So Many Roads,"was one of a kind,it is truely,"timeless!"...By replacing "to EASE,"w/"to HEAL my soul"...He made the song feel,as if He had personal connections to that tune.Without a doubt,He most definetly"walked them roads,"and bless Him,for He just needed someone,"to HEAL His soul."....."SMR"always brings a tear to my eyes,it had personal meaning to me and Jerry. He finally found the one road,to lead Him home...unforntanetly,I have yet to stumble on that road, but as long as I have Jerry`s music in my heart(and ears!),I`ll keep searching! He now awaits us all,"somewhere beneath the Kokomo" ....and I don`t know about you,but just like Jerry always reminded us,"I WOULD RATHER BE WITH HIM!!".......imissJG,so very, very much.

10/1/94
Arguably the finest show of 1994. In the near latest period of GD, there are shows like this one that truly stand out. He came back to echo the final lines af both Stella and So Many Roads. It just goes to show, that even in 94' the nights of brilliance would take place. This entire fall tour was remarkably good considering the end was less than 10 months away.

The Last Time
It's funny how when you live in the moment times lasts forever. This turned out be my swan song with the boys. I felt so proud and relaxed at this venue. Even with the shakedown at the door upon entry, things flowed this evening. Garcia's playing was inspired and thoughtful. I had been off the bus for fours years and was so impressed. Thanks Waters!!! for thinking of me on that day. Oh by the way, Vince plays very well. So many roads was a nice new tune. Well hope you enjoy it as much as I did!! God bless the GD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
